Our renovation loan consulting services will guide our clients through the process of obtaining a home renovation loan mortgage. There are several types of renovation loan mortgages available, with the FHA 203k being the most well-known. Other types include Fannie Mae HomeStyle, Freddie Mac Choice, and Conventional.
Prior to closing, consultant services include determining the feasibility of a proposed renovation loan project (feasibility analysis), producing detailed renovation cost estimates (specification of repairs), and verifying compliance with specific loan requirements. This also includes creation or evaluation of building plans, and determining what municipal building permit items are required and the costs.
After closing, consultant services include verification, inspection, and documentation of completed contractor work (draw inspections), approved modifications to the specification of repairs (change orders), and coordination of approved payments to the contractor(s). Overall, we act as the project manager between the contractor(s), lender, and homeowners to successfully complete the renovation loan project.
